Dharma Food & Care Foundation (DFCF) is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization’s primary activities are focused on relieving hunger, assisting individuals experiencing homelessness, and providing educational support to underserved and low-income populations.
To accomplish its charitable purpose of relieving hunger and distress, DFCF prepares and distributes nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or economic hardship. Meals are provided directly by volunteers and through partnerships with local shelters, community centers, and nonprofit organizations. Food distribution activities include regularly scheduled meal services as well as special food drives and outreach events.
To further support individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship, DFCF distributes essential non-cash assistance, including hygiene kits, warm blankets, backpacks, and seasonal emergency supplies. These items are provided at no cost to recipients and are intended to promote basic health, safety, and well-being.
In furtherance of its educational purpose, DFCF provides educational assistance to children, youth, and adults from underserved communities. Educational activities include the distribution of school supplies and learning materials, tutoring support, mentorship, and access to educational resources designed to promote academic development, skill-building, and long-term self-sufficiency.
All programs and services are provided without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, national origin, or any other protected classification. The organization does not engage in religious instruction or worship activities, and participation in its programs is open to the general public based on need.
Dharma Food & Care Foundation is primarily operated by volunteers. Donations and contributions received by the organization are used exclusively to support its charitable and educational activities. No part of the organization’s net earnings inures to the benefit of any private individual or insider.
The organization does not engage in political campaign activity and limits any lobbying activities to an insubstantial amount, if any, in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) requirements.
